A Wonderful Birding Walk on National Indigenous Peoples Day!

Despite uncertain weather, we took a chance and were rewarded with perfect conditions-a gentle breeze and pleasant temperatures.

Only a few raindrops accompanied us on our way back. Huge thanks to those who joined, your enthusiasm and curiosity made it a great outing. This birding adventure was a much-needed boost for my (Justin) mental well-being, reconnecting me with nature and fellow bird enthusiasts. The standout moment was spotting a ozhaawaashko-bineshiinh (Indigo Bunting) joyfully singing from the treetops. See the photo below for a list of the 13 species we saw today.
