Winter Birding Walk with the UM Indigenous Birding Club

Join us on February 23rd for a relaxed, 2-hour winter birding walk that begins at Migizii Agamik – The Bald Eagle Lodge. We’ll gather at 11:00 am by the Louis Riel statue, with the walk starting promptly at 11:15 am. The walk will take us to King’s Park, or another nearby location to find birds.

About the event
Join us on February 23rd for a relaxed, 2-hour winter birding walk that begins at Migizii Agamik – The Bald Eagle Lodge. We’ll gather at 11:00 am by the Louis Riel statue, with the walk starting promptly at 11:15 am. The walk will take us to King’s Park, or another nearby location, at a leisurely pace, allowing us to enjoy the winter birds and sights. These walks are open to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) folks and allies who share our belief that birding is for everyone, regardless of experience. Whether you’re new to birding or a seasoned enthusiast, we welcome you to join. Just dress for the weather and be sure to bring mitts/gloves and water. If you don’t have your own binoculars, we have some available to borrow.
