About the event
Join us for a relaxed, 1.5-hour birding walk that begins at Migizii Agamik – Bald Eagle Lodge. We’ll gather at 11:20 a.m. by the Louis Riel statue, with the walk starting promptly at 11:30 a.m. The walk will take us to King’s Park, or another nearby location, at a leisurely pace, allowing us to enjoy our feathered relatives in the green spaces on and near campus.
These walks are open to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) folks and allies who share our belief that birding is for everyone, regardless of experience. Whether you're new to birding or a seasoned enthusiast, we welcome you to join. Just dress for the weather and be sure to bring sunscreen and water. If you don’t have your own binoculars, we have some available to borrow.
Our walks are an opportunity to connect with nature, build community, and learn from one another in…
